ASSUMPTIONS 2026 CPP rates: a $3,500 basic exemption, 5.95% base rate up to the $74,600 YMPE (max $4,230), plus CPP2 at 4% on earnings between the YMPE and the $85,000 ceiling (max $416). Employers match employee contributions. Quebec uses the separate QPP instead of CPP.
