ASSUMPTIONS 2026 tax year. The CRA requires quarterly instalments when your net tax owing is more than $3,000 ($1,800in Quebec) in both the current year and one of the two prior years. This uses the “prior-year” (no-calculation) option — each instalment is last year's tax divided by four, due March 15, June 15, September 15 and December 15. The CRA also offers no-calculation and current-year options; it will normally send you an instalment reminder. Consult a tax professional for your situation.
